Certification helps two overlapping communities. It enables organizations to easily recognize knowledgeable experts, and it enables people to:
- Consolidate and expand their knowledge and skills;
- Demonstrate that they have a certain level of knowledge; and
- Increase their attractiveness to current or future employers or clients.
Additionally, participation on PRINCE2® certification courses generates PDUs for maintaining a PMP certification, and in some countries, particularly the UK, is practically a pre-requisite for getting a job as a project manager.
